Conveyancing Marketing Services is
an agency which puts members of the public looking for conveyancing services
in touch with a solicitor or licensed conveyancer. The company, established in 1995,
has around 60 firms on its panel. Potential clients fill out a questionnaire online
and receive, by email , immediate quotations from CMS on behalf of certain firms on the
panel. They are then contacted by telephone (by CMS) to explain the quote. The site
apparently generates around 500 genuine enquiries a month.
CMS monitor the service through to completion, and can remove firms from the panel if they are not satisfied.
Legallybetter is a panel site (for solicitors) and a
comparison site (for individuals). It brings solicitor reviews and lawyer
reviews plus solicitor ratings and lawyer ratings from around the UK together on one site. It also
provides a free dedicated online client feedback form to all member law firms which can
be added to law firm emails, websites, social media etc. and processes the responses
for the law firm.
The system can also take member law firms content and add it to the site, e.g. legal tips,
blog content and can
prepare case studies.
Nationwide Conveyancing provides
competitive fixed prices for the legal costs of buying, selling or remortgaging a flat or house in the UK.
They monitor prices and regularly undertake surveys to keep their price comparisons up to date.
They search from a panel of over 100 specialist solicitors and conveyancers using a well established
comparison tool called Econveyancer from ULS group.
You can choose by price, service or distance.
Solicitor.info is a directory of solicitors which includes feedback from the firms' own clients.
The reviews are made anonymously so the viewer can be confident of an honest opinion.
The aim of the site is, eventually, to include reviews of thousands of solicitors all over the UK.
from a firm's point of view, the listings are free and they can provide good reviews from clients. If a review appears which is unfavourable and
which is provably untrue, the firm can ask for it to be removed.
Something a little different....
Check M Legal Fees are a team of legal costs experts with over
60 years' experience. They have dealt with costs arising from almost every legal specialism and have conducted
cases challenging solicitor's costs at all levels up to and including the Court of Appeal.
They have collected together guides and information to explain how solicitor’s fees are challenged,
and how solicitors charge their clients which can be helpful in considering how a seemingly excessive charge is arrived at.
They are not part of a firm of solicitors themselves and are therefore entirely independent.
