Riliance is a leading web based risk & compliance system for the legal market and other professional markets. Its primary aim is to ensure all firms that have to comply with the new and existing SRA regulations have a system in place that instils a robust risk & compliance structure to the firms day to day operations and potentially will reduce the firms Professional Indemnity premiums. The software is easy to set up and is easy to use. It has user friendly input screens and helpful guides are included. It produces standard letters and forms, provides reminders via email and account messaging which helps the user stay on top of all their Risk & Compliance requirements. The software is hosted by Riliance and is charged as a simple monthly fee.

S is the leading independent Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) form e-submission service. Available as desktop or cloud. Integrates with leading Case Management providers. Future proofing property professionals by providing solutions for Property Tax in Scotland (Land and Buildings Transaction Tax – LBTT) and for Wales (Land Transaction Tax - LTT). Data entered into an SDLT form auto populates range of HMRC and Land Registry application forms.

Select Legal Systems, established in 1993 and based in Yorkshire, provides a fully integrated legal practice management system called LAWFUSION. Built around a central database, the software has been designed to streamline processes, capture all bill-able time and enable fee earners to manage larger case loads more profitably. Fully compliant with the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, it is designed to reduce risk and provide sound business information. There is a library of case management workflow charts as well as a ‘blank-sheet’ workflow template. The software includes time recording, CRM & Marketing software as well as legal aid functionality. There is also a fully hosted (cloud based) solution called LAWFUSION Direct. For a monthly fee, the user gets a full suite of legal practice management software as well as fully integrated Microsoft Office and Exchange products, all hosted securely on the cloud. There is a video available on the Select Legal website featuring interviews with law firm owners and senior execs on the reasons why they have chosen either cloud or on-premise for their legal businesses. The software is ISO 27001 certified at a company level and the LAWFUSION Direct cloud datacentre is also certified.

Signable is a UK based online service that enables documents to be legally signed online. Rather than emailing or posting the document to the signer, you can send it out via Signable and get it signed in a matter of minutes. Signers can sign on their desktop or their mobile device and the Signable service checks that the document is legally binding and secure. Apparently, the technology adheres to all regulations set out by the Electronic Communications Act 2000 requirements. There are details of the legality of electronic signatures here. There is Pay As You Go plan available or a Monthly plan and there is also a free 14 day trial available.

Solicitors Own Software (SOS) is a leading, independent UK legal software supplier with a large client-base of over 400 mid-sized law firms. Their flagship software SOS Connect is available as a fully hosted solution or can be supplied to run in-house. It includes excellent integration with Microsoft Outlook which enables fee earners and staff to operate the entire system, including case management, without ever leaving their Outlook screen; workflows can be developed and maintained more quickly and easily thanks to a highly visual workflow designer module; and management and team information is provided instantly and visually by way of scriptable key performance indicators (KPI's).
